Suncor has completed planned maintenance on the Plant 2 (East) of its 98,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Denver Refinery in Commerce City, Colorado, and the units are expected to be fully operational in the next few days.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has delayed the commercial startup of an expansion at its 120,000-BBL/d Barauni Refinery in India. The 180,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 4 now is tentatively expected to start by July 15, 2024. Additionally, the support units are expected to come online simultaneously until October 15, 2024.
Viva Energy Australia Limited was forced to interrupt ongoing maintenance at its 120,000-BBL/d Geelong Refinery in Australia after a compressor was dropped from a crane. Work underway since May 5 on the 60,000-BBL/d CDU 4, 20,000-BBL/d Reformer CCR and 10,000-BBL/d Gasoline Hydrotreater (HDS1) units, and expected to end in late June, could be delayed several months according to some initial reports from the company.
