HF Sinclair Corporation, on July 26, began five weeks of planned maintenance at its 25,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) refinery in Casper, Wyoming. The 25,000-BBL/d crude unit and three other major units are involved.

International
TURPAS Izmit Refinery Turkey continues with a shutdown of the 13,800-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) at its 220,000-BBL/d Izmit Refinery in Turkey, although the unit is expected to restart on August 4. An additional shutdown on August 23 for additional minor inspections will last a few days.

Middle East Oil Refinery (MIDOR) has begun the test runs of the 60,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation 2, 33,000-BBL/d Vacuum Distillation 2 and 45,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater units at its 150,000-BBL/d Alexandra MIDOR Refinery in Egypt. Commercial startup is tentatively expected by the beginning or middle of September, after which the refinery's design capacity will ramp up from 115,000-BBL/d to 175,000-BBL/d.
