Tokyo Gas Unit to Purchase U.S.' Rockcliff Energy for $2.7 Billion - A unit of Tokyo Gas (Tokyo, Japan) has decided to buy U.S. natural gas producer Rockcliff Energy (Houston, Texas) from private equity firm Quantum Energy Partners (Houston) for $2.7 billion to expand its overseas business, it said on Saturday. The deal comes as part of the Japanese company's efforts to expand its North American shale gas operations to meet growing demand for natural gas as an energy transition fuel. Under the deal, TG Natural Resources--79% owned by Tokyo Gas--will buy all shares in Rockcliff Energy from Quantum Energy. The deal is expected to close on December 29, Tokyo Gas said. (Reuters)

ExxonMobil Ends Talks with BlackRock Regarding Italy LNG Terminal Sale - BlackRock Incorporated (NYSE:BLK) (New York, New York) has bowed out of talks to acquire Exxon Mobil Corporation's (NYSE:XOM) (Spring, Texas) majority stake in Italy's main liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal, three people with knowledge of the matter said. Global energy trader Vitol SA (Geneva, Switzerland) is among the bidders still in the running for the Adriatic LNG terminal, two of the people said. Saudi Arabian October Crude Oil Exports Rise to Four-Month High - Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports in October hit their highest level in four months, data from the Joint Organizations Data Initiative showed on Monday. Crude oil exports from the world's largest oil exporter rose 9.6% rose to 6.30 million barrels per day (BBL/d) from September, while the country's crude oil production, decreased 0.4% to 8.94 million BBL/d.
