EIA: U.S. Crude Oil, Gas Output to Reach Record Highs in 2025 - U.S. crude oil and natural gas production, along with demand for natural gas and electricity, will rise to record highs in 2025, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Tuesday in its Short-Term Energy Outlook. The agency said it expects crude oil production to average 13.61 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in 2025 and 13.76 million BBL/d in 2026, up from 13.22 million BBL/d in 2024. (Reuters)
ExxonMobil's Eighth Guyana Project to Produce 1.5 Bcf/d of Gas - The eighth energy project in Guyana of a consortium led by U.S. major Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (Spring, Texas) will produce up to 1.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of natural gas and 290,000 BBL/d of condensate through a floating production facility that will have capacity to export the fuel, the group told the government. Report: Solar Accounted for 84% of U.S. Power Added in 2024 - Solar energy accounted for 84% of new electricity generation capacity added to the U.S. power grid last year, the Solar Energy Industries Association and Wood Mackenzie groups said in a report, adding that 2024 was largest single year of growth by any energy technology in more than two decades. The country installed 50 gigawatts of new solar capacity in 2024, according to the report. (Reuters)
