JSC Navoiazot has launched a new ammonia and urea complex in Navoi, Uzbekistan. The plant has annual production of 660,000 tonnes of ammonia, using Haldor Topsoe technology, and 577,500 tonnes of urea, using Stamicarbon and Uhde processes. These capacities will help Uzbekistan satisfy local demand for urea, and also become an exporter in the Central Asia region.
