Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Family-owned and operated Zeeland Farm Services Incorporated (Zeeland, Michigan) is expected to close on the sale of a fuel ethanol plant in Cambridge, Nebraska, by mid-January and expects to resume production by 2Q10.
The 40 million-gallon-per-year plant utilizes Delta-T Incorporated (Williamsburg, Virginia) licensed ethanol process technology and was built by TIC Incorporated (Steamboat Springs, Colorado). The plant can process more than 15 million bushels of corn annually and generate 420,000 tons per year of wet distillers grains, a byproduct of ethanol production.
Once the restart is complete, the company plans to plans to hire 30 to 35 people to operate the plant.
Standard Ethanol also operates a 44 million-gallon-per-year ethanol plant in Madrid, Nebraska, and the company expects to continue normal operation of this facility.
