Bion Gets Permits for Kreider Farms Waste-Processing Facility in Pennsylvania

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Bion Environmental Technologies Incorporated (OTC:BNET) (Crestone, Colorado) has received the needed permits to move forward on the Kreider Farms waste-processing project at the Kreiders dairy operation in Manheim, Pennsylvania.

The company received the Phase I permit and expects to start construction in the next one or two months. Bion selected Primus Builders Incorporated (Woodstock, Georgia) for the estimated $8 million project. The plant will process manure from the 1,200-head dairy complex and turn it into nitrogen.

The project will take about six months to complete, and the plant will go into operation by March of 2011.

The company is also developing a proposed ethanol plant in Ogdensburg, New York, that will produce 42 million gallons of ethanol annually, along with distillers dried grains for a 72,000-head beef operation. Once the $140 million project is financed, construction is expected to get under way in the spring of 2011.
