BP Completes Sale of Alaska Assets - BP plc (NYSE:BP) said it completed the sale of its Prudhoe Bay oil and gas producing properties to Hilcorp Energy, ending 60 years as a top Alaskan oil producer. The $5.6 billion deal, including BP's stake in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System which carries crude oil from Prudhoe Bay to Alaska's southern coast, should wrap up this quarter, both companies said in statements. U.S. Injects 65 Billion Cubic Feet of Natural Gas into Storage - The U.S. Energy Information Administration said U.S. utilities injected 65 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas into storage in the week ending June 26. The increase increased stockpiles to 3.077 trillion cubic feet, which is 17.8% higher than the five-year average and about 30.1% above the same week a year ago.
