China's crude-oil output totaled 16.23 million metric tons in May, a 1% increase from May 2018, according to an announcement from China's National Bureau of Statistics. From January through May 2019, crude-oil output totaled 79.29 million metric tons, a 0.7% increase from the same period last year, according to the bureau.

China's crude-oil imports reached 40.23 million metric tons in May, a 3% increase from May 2018. From January through May 2019, China's crude-oil imports totaled 205.13 million metric tons, a 7.7% increase from the same period last year.

China's crude-oil processing volumes totaled 51.90 million metric tons in May, a 2.8% increase from May 2018. From January through May 2019, China's crude-oil processing volumes totaled 259.49 million metric tons, a 4.4% increase from the same period last year.
