Contractor Awarded for $35 Million Commercial Printing Plant Expansion in Virginia

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Lantz Construction Company (Broadway, Virginia) has been selected to provide general construction services for a $35.2 million expansion of a commercial printing plant for World Color Press (TSX:WC) (WCP) (Montreal, Quebec), to be located in Winchester, Virginia.

Construction plans include a 12,000-square-foot expansion of the existing 100,000-square-foot building, which consists of six commercial printing presses. The expansion will include the installation of two Offset commercial printing presses, plus additional supporting equipment. Construction started this month and is expected to be completed by the spring of 2010.

Lyle P. Strosnyder Incorporated (Winchester, Virginia) was selected to provide mechanical services for the expansion.
