Cooper Farms Plans Building and Equipment Additions at Ohio Turkey Processing Plant
Construction is scheduled to begin within the next two weeks on a 35,000 square foot expansion to the turkey processing plant, which will add more processing equipment and storage areas to the 4-million-turkey-per-year processing plant.

The company selected Bruns Construction (Saint Henry, Ohio) to construct the $3.7 million building and equipment addition. A new lagoon cell and aeration equipment will also be added to the wastewater system to handle the additional effluent volume that will be created once the expansion is completed and operational.
Construction is expected to take about ten months to complete and will add ten new jobs to the company's existing workforce of 525 people in Saint Henry.
Founded in the early 1940's, Cooper Farms is a wholesale food supplier offering a variety of pre-cooked and ready-to-cook turkey products to customers around the United States and in Mexico. The company has four divisions in Ohio, consisting of a turkey processing plant in Saint Henry, a cooked meats plant in Van Wert, a turkey hatchery in Oakwood, and a feed mill in Fort Recovery.
