DACH Region to Kick Off $520 Million in Plastics Projects this Year, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Industrial Info is tracking 20 capital plastic-sector projects, worth $540 million, in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). These include 10 projects, totaling nearly $520 million, that are scheduled to begin construction this year.

To meet the steadily growing demand for plastics, major chemical companies such as Evonik, Celanese Chemicals Europe GmbH, Vinnolit GmbH & Compnay KG, Petopur GmbH and Solvay P&S GmbH are preparing for manufacturing-capacity expansions over the next two years. The largest is a $450 million investment by Evonik, which is expected to kick off later this year.
