CRUDE OIL
U.S. Crude Oil Exports Fell in January - U.S. crude oil exports averaged 364,000 barrels per day in January, totaling about 11.3 million barrels and marking a 7% decline from December exports.
Exxon is First Major U.S. Company to Export Crude - While European-based trading houses have been the first to ship crude overseas, Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (Irving, Texas) became the first major U.S. producer to ship crude when it exported a tanker to its refinery in Sicily last month.
LNG
Japan Invests Heavily In U.S. LNG Exports Amid Unpredictable Demand - Japan's power mix is still in a state of limbo as nuclear power comes online and offline irregularly after being shut down following the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown triple disaster.
