Daye to Build Copper Smelter in China's Huangshi City, an Industrial Info Market Brief

China is home to $11.8 billion worth of active copper-smelter projects, according to Industrial Info's project database. Daye Nonferrous Metals Group recently agreed to construct a $1 billion, 400,000-ton-per-year copper smelter in Huangshi City, to be located in the Huangshi Xingang Logistics Industrial Park. The facility will include sulfuric acid and waste-heat power utilities, as well as a slag-processing plant. Construction is slated to begin in 2020 and to be completed within two years.
