Equinor to Sell Eagle Ford Stake - Norway's Equinor (NYSE:EQNR) said it will sell its position in South Texas' Eagle Ford shale for $325 million to the Spanish oil and gas firm Repsol. The deal between the two companies allows Equinor to move out of the Eagle Ford by selling its 63% stake in its existing joint venture with Repsol. (Houston Chronicle)

Calpine Boosts Net Income - Power generator Calpine Corporation reported third-quarter 2019 net income of $485 million, compared with $272 million in the year-prior quarter. The company specifically pointed to higher generating margins in Texas during the quarter and the start of commercial operations at the York 2 Energy Center in Pennsylvania in March for the higher earnings.
