FAGE's plans called for constructing a 240,000-square-foot building addition, milk storage silos, processing equipment and refrigeration systems to increase the plant's output of greek yogurt from 80,000 tons per year to 160,000 tons per year.
Construction began in 2013. The project was completed by a host of local and regional firms and contactors, including Webber Smith and Associates (Lancaster, Pennsylvania), Clough Harbour and Associates (Albany, New York) and LeChase Construction LLC (Schenectady, New York).
FAGE has invested more than $200 million in expansions at the Johnstown site since the plant began operations in 2007.
