NOVA Chemicals restarted the 1.9 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Geismar, Louisiana, plant, over the weekend of April 16. The unit shut down on April 10 due to a power outage.
Chevron Phillips Chemical has begun to restart the 560 million-pound-per-year Ethylene 22 unit at its Sweeny, Texas, plant. The unit unexpectedly shut down on March 28 due to complications within a furnace.

National Industrialization Company remains on schedule to perform a 25-day maintenance turnaround of the approximately 1 billion-pound-per-year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit, to begin July 22, at its Jubail Complex in Saudi Arabia. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by August 15.
Nippon Shokubai Company Limited restarted the 396.8 million-pound-per-year ethylene glycol (EG) and 352.7 million-pound-per-year ethylene oxide (EO) units on April 13 at its Kawasaki Ukishima Chemicals Plant in Belgium. The units were shut down for a 32-day planned turnaround on March 13.
State Company for Petrochemical Industries remains on schedule to perform a 30-day maintenance turnaround of the 291 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit, to begin May 23, at its Az Zubayr (Al Basrah) Complex in Iraq. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by June 21.
