Cenovus Energy will include the 165,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Crude 2 (Sweet) unit in its 45-day planned maintenance turnaround, which will include five units in total and begin October 1, at its 165,000-BBL/d Lima, Ohio, refinery.

Suncor, last week, started the 46-day planned maintenance turnaround of its Upgrader in Fort McMurray, Alberta. It was originally expected to begin August 2.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has rescheduled the 30-day planned major turnaround of the 215,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU), 84,000-BBL/d Hydrofluoric Alkylation Unit and 90,573-BBL/d Propylene Recovery Unit at its 760,000-BBL/d Jamnagar SEZ Refinery in India. The turnaround is now expected to begin on March 4, 2022, and expectations are to restart the units by April 2, 2022.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), on July 31, shut down the 60,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 3 at its 300,000-BBL/d Mangalore Refinery in India. Separately, MRPL has rescheduled the 25-day planned shutdown of the 65,000-BBL/d Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) and 13,000-BBL/d Coker Heavy Gas Oil Hydrotreater, which will now begin August 19.

Nghi Son Refining and Petrochemical Limited Liability Company (NSRP) is preparing for a shutdown this weekend, beginning August 8, at its 200,000-BBL/d Nghi Son Refinery in Vietnam, for 11 days of minor maintenance that will conclude August 18.
