India's Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Seeks Financial Help from Government, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Facing a financial crisis, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) is seeking help from India's Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers to revive BVFCL's obsolete fertilizer production units in Dibrugarh, in India's state of Assam. BVFCL aims to double its existing capacity for the ammonia and urea produced in two units.

The ministry's Assam office will form a public-private partnership (PPP) with National Fertilizers Limited, Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited, Oil India Limited, GAIL Limited and other entities for the projects.
