India's paint industry is planning to start construction next year on nine plant projects worth $180 million. To meet the surge in demand for paint, major chemical companies like Asian Paints Limited, Berger Paints India Limited, Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited and others have lined up expansions at their manufacturing units in 2020. Asian Paints plans to kick off the project with the highest investment value -- $95 million -- by the end of 2020.
