Among the crude oil terminals being tracked by Industrial Info is Delek Logistics Partners LP's (Brentwood, Tennessee) plans for a terminal in Longview, Texas, to accompany the expansion of the Paline Pipeline, which will run from Longview to Nederland, Texas. The terminal will include two 150,000- to 250,0000-barrel external floating-roof tanks. Construction on both the terminal and pipeline is set to kick off this summer and be completed in the first quarter of next year. The overall project has an estimated total investment value (TIV) of $300 million. Pipelines aren't the only means of crude oil transmission, and in Wink, Texas, Rangeland Energy (Sugar Land) is preparing to kick off construction on a crude oil truck unloading terminal. The project will include construction of an initial 480,000 barrels of crude oil storage, with 10 truck lanes capable of 55,000 barrels per day of throughput. Construction is planned to kick off this summer, taking a little more than a year to complete. The project has an estimated TIV of $150 million. In Houston, Fairway Energy Partners LLC (Houston) plans to expand its crude oil storage caverns by leaching two additional caverns with approximately 9 million barrels of storage. The project also includes construction of 4 million barrels of surface tanks for oil segregation and blending. Construction is planned to begin late in the third quarter of this year and be completed in the first half of next year. The project includes leaching two caverns that will each be capable of storing 500,000 to 10 million barrels of propane, butane and iso-butane, depending on customer demand. The facility will have access to mainline rail, interstate highway and pipeline systems. The project is expected to take about a year to complete. As ethylene production grows in the U.S., so do the opportunities for its export. Odfjell Terminals Houston LP (Houston) plans to begin construction of an ethylene export terminal in Seabrook, Texas, this summer. The project will occur at the company's existing 2.4 million-barrel chemical terminal and will include modifying an existing ethane terminal by adding facilities, including a refrigerated storage tank, to export ethylene and NGL. JGC America Incorporated (Houston) is providing engineering on the project, which is expected to be completed in the first half of next year.
