Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Industrial Info's upcoming Industrial Market Outlook & Networking Event, which will be held January 23 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, will place a special emphasis on projects in the U.S. Gulf Coast region, where Industrial Info is tracking more than $380 billion in active projects in the zones from Brownsville, Texas, to Pascagoula, Mississippi, including more than $166.4 billion worth that are set to kick from now until the end of 2021.
Thanks in part to several liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects, the Production Industry leads the region in terms of the value of active projects, followed by the Chemical Processing Industry. Industrial Info will be discussing these and other industrial sectors in detail at the upcoming outlook.
Among the LNG projects that could potentially break ground this year is NextDecade Corporation's (NASDAQ:NEXT) (The Woodlands, Texas) Rio Grande production and export terminal at the Port of Brownsville in Texas. The project would include the construction of two trains, each with a production capacity of 4.5 million tons per year. The natural gas feedstock will be shipped by the company's Rio Bravo Pipeline, which would run 137 miles from the Agua Dulce Hub to the facility. Construction on the terminal could kick off this summer, taking about four years to complete. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report on the liquefaction plant and the pipeline.
Among the largest Chemical Processing projects set to kick off this year in the Gulf Coast region is Covestro AG's (Leverkusen, Germany) construction of a methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) unit addition at its industrial chemicals plant in Baytown, Texas. The world-class unit will produce approximately 500,000 tons per year of MDI. Construction is set to kick off in the second quarter and be completed in late 2024. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.
In addition to Chemicals and Production, Industrial Info's industry experts also will be providing presentations about the overall global and North American markets, Power, Refining, and the general crude oil and natural gas sectors.
Registration for the event begins at 3 p.m., and the presentations will begin at 4 p.m. Following the presentations, Industrial Info will be providing a networking session with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. This is a time to mingle with your industry peers, see demonstrations of Industrial Info's products and ask further questions of our industry experts.
While there's still time to reserve a place at the event, space is limited, and reservations will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is complimentary. Click here to learn more or to RSVP. See you January 23!
