Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Iraq's refiners plan to spend $1.6 billion for fluid catalytic cracking units (FCCUs) to convert heavy vacuum gasoil into gasoline and other petroleum products by 2026. Iraq's state company for oil projects is scheduled to put into operation an FCCU by June 2022 at its Karbala facility, while South Refineries Company and the Ministry of Natural Resources Kurdistan's FCCUs in Basra and Kirkuk will be in operation by March 2025 and June 2026, respectively.
