The company is planning to convert one of the refinery's terminals to an 8.5-megawatt solar energy center for sustainable development goals after closing refining units.

Seibu Oil Company Limited decided to close the Yamaguchi Refinery permanently in March 2024, and the plant will be converted to a terminal for hydrogen and ammonia.
