New $25 Million Feed Mill Under Construction in Mississippi
Family-owned Peco Foods Incorporated (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) has begun construction on a new feed mill in Lake, Mississippi.

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Family-owned Peco Foods Incorporated (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) has begun construction on a new feed mill in Lake, Mississippi. Peco's state-of-the-art feed mill will have an annual output of 17,000 tons per week of poultry feed and will feature a 110-car loop track, staging for 80 trucks, high-speed unloading capacity and a streamlined distribution platform. Site preparation is under way and the construction phase is slated to be completed in the second quarter of 2012.
When fully operational, the Lake mill will replace the company's existing mill at Sebastopol.
Younglove Construction LLC (Sioux City, Iowa) was awarded the design-build contract for the project.
Peco Foods is the 13th-largest poultry producer in the U.S. and operates four slaughtering plants, two processing plants, four hatcheries and four feed mills in Alabama and Mississippi.
