Overhaul Planned for Thessaloniki Refinery in Greece

The future turnaround will entail mainly cleaning and inspection. The overhaul will involve all of the processing units and is expected to last approximately 17 nonproduction days.

The Thessaloniki refinery is one of three refineries owned and operated by Hellenic Petroleum S.A. The facility is the only plant operating in the northern region of Greece and works in conjunction with the Elefsina and Aspropyrgos refineries, both in Athens, via pipeline. The plant supplies Balkan countries like Serbia, Bulgaria and Albania, as well as the domestic market. The Thessaloniki refinery has a petrochemical site and produces liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline, heating oil, heavy fuel oil, asphalt and other products.
