The project is set to kick off in November, with completion slated for August 2017.
The Petroleum Refining Industry has seven projects worth $97 million, including three planned Tier 3 gasoline hydrotreater unit upgrades, each worth $20 million. The projects would include upgrades at Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA Incorporated's (Houston, Texas), 50,000 barrel-per-day (BBL/d) unit, to kick off in October and be completed January 2017; Valero Energy Corporation's (NYSE: VLO) (San Antonio, Texas) 66,000 BBL/d unit, set to kick off in September with completion in January of next year; and Motiva Enterprises LLC's (Houston) 67,000 BBL/d unit, with kickoff in September and completion in January.

This grassroot renewable diesel refinery, owned by Emerald Biofuels LLC (Chicago, Illinois), will consist of a production building and a processing reactor, along with supporting equipment, for the purpose of producing 82 million gallons per year of green diesel transportation fuel and 13 million gallons per year of refined co-products from natural oils, waste grease and animal fats.
