Port Projects Advance in Peru with Pier Expansion, New Terminal, an Industrial Info Market Brief

A pier expansion in Peru's Paita Port is planned to begin in October, while the first construction stage has begun on a new terminal in Chancay city.

After the National Port Authority (APN) approved the technical works file and the concessionaire, Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos S.A. (TPE) awarded the private tender to expand the Paita Port Terminal dock to 360 meters. It was announced that the work by Etermar Engenharia will begin this month. Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra and Minister of Transport and Communications Carlos Estremadoyro verified the progress of the construction of the new multipurpose Port Terminal of Chancay. Future work may include the construction of a 1,820-meter-long tunnel to link the port's operational area with the entrance complex to the future terminal.
