SNC-Lavalin's involvement on 155 major industrial projects range from minor consulting service contracts to major turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services.

In Canada, Canadian Natural Resources Limited is completing and commissioning the $8.2 billion first phase of the Horizon Oil Sands Mine 70 kilometers northwest of Fort McMurray in Alberta. SNC-Lavalin provided engineering, procurement and construction services for the massive project. First reported by Industrial Info as the Mic Mac project in 2001, the TIV for the project has escalated from $1.6 billion in 2001 to the current $8.2 billion because of global increases in equipment and services costs.
SNC-Lavalin was recently awarded an engineering contract by Valero Energy for a scrubber system to reduce sulfur dioxide from a 73,000-barrel-per-day fluid catalytic cracker unit.
