LNG Developer Tellurian Explores Sale, Loses CEO - Liquefied natural gas (LNG) developer Tellurian Incorporated (Houston, Texas) said on Monday it was looking at all options, including a potential sale, and that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Octavio Simoes had stepped down from his role, amid the efforts to keep its Driftwood export project alive. Venture Global to Buy Fleet of Vessels - Venture Global LNG (Arlington, Virginia) said on Sunday it would acquire a fleet of nine LNG transport vessels, expanding its ability to sell and ship its own cargoes. Venture Global has exported hundreds of cargoes since it started liquefying gas for export in 2022 from the first of its three planned facilities in Louisiana. The vessels it used were owned by other companies and leased. The nine vessels in Venture Global's future fleet will be built in South Korea with the first to be delivered later this year, the company said. (Reuters)

Canada Signs Hydrogen Agreement with Germany - Canada, citing the need to shun Russian energy, on Monday signed an agreement with Germany that it said would accelerate work toward the commercial-scale trade of clean hydrogen fuel. The two nations inked a memorandum of understanding that commits them to backing transactions between Canadian hydrogen producers and Germany's industrial manufacturing and energy distribution sectors. "Canada is working with European allies to displace imports of Russian oil and gas and fight climate change with clean Canadian hydrogen. Canada can be a world-leading producer and exporter of clean hydrogen," the federal natural resources ministry said in a statement. (Reuters)
