Yeochun NCC Company Limited, on February 20, shut down the 1,036-million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Yeosu Chemicals No 3 Plant in South Korea, after an explosion during a spare heat exchange tightness test on February 11. The restart is expected by March 30.
Sahara International Petrochemical Company has moved up a 29-day maintenance turnaround of the 1,030-million-pound-per-year Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) Unit, which will now begin February 14, at its Jubail Petrochemical Complex, Saudi Arabia. The restart is expected March 14. A 29-day planned maintenance turnaround of the 992.10 million-pound-per-year polypropylene unit also began February 14.
