Bayport Polymers continues to start up its new 2,205 million-pound-per-year Ethane Cracker in Port Arthur, Texas.
NOVA Chemicals is shutting down the 1,800 million-pound-per-year Olefins (Hot/Cold) ethylene unit at its plant in Corunna, Ontario, for a 65-day turnaround. The restart is expected at the end of June.
Pemex Petroquimica's 705.5 million-pound-per-year Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) 3 Unit at its Cangrejera Petrochemical Complex in Veracruz, Mexico, remains offline after shutting down for maintenance repairs last August. At this time, there is not a set date for reactivation.

Maruzen Petrochemical Company Limited, on April 15, was forced to shut down the 1,693 million-pound-per-year Keiyo Ethylene (4EP) Unit at its Ichihara Chiba Chemical Complex in Japan, which caused a sympathy shutdown on the 988.1 million-pound-per-year propylene unit. Both units are expected to restart by April 30.
Kazanorgsintez PJSC continues with a planned turnaround of the 258 million-pound-per-year LDPE III at its Kazan Chemical Complex in Russia. The restart is expected by May 15.
