North America
Valero has been forced to shut down and evacuate the West Complex of its 232,700-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery. The facility experienced a leak and fire on the 58,000-BBL/d Gasoline Desulfurizer unit. That side of the refinery also contains five other units and supporting units. The extent of the damage and duration of the shutdown are unknown at this time. The East Complex remains online.

International
Viva Energy Australia Limited is performing a planned 50-day turnaround of the 60,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 4 and 20,000-BBL/d Reformer at its 120,000-BBL/d Geelong Refinery in Australia. The maintenance is expected to take place until June 23.

St1 Refinery AB continues with a plant-wide maintenance turnaround at its 80,000-BBL/d Gothenburg Refinery in Sweden. The completion is expected in late May.
