Marathon, on October 31, was forced to shut down the 56,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Crude 6 and 40,000-BBL/d Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) on the north side of its 120,000-BBL/d refinery in El Paso, Texas. At this time, plant personnel have not indicated a restart timeline.

Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) began a planned 63-day turnaround of the 36,000-BBL/d Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) at its 540,000-BBL/d Mailiao Refinery in Taiwan. Expectations are to restart the unit by January 2.
Chinese Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has delayed the restart of the 150,000-BBL/d Crude Topping Unit 12 at its 350,000-BBL/d Talin (Dalin) Refinery in Taiwan. The restart now is tentatively expected by November 3.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has delayed the restart of five units at its 240,000-BBL/d Mumbai Refinery in India. The units now are expected to be back online by November 9. However, the 120,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 4 and 40,000-BBL/d diesel hydrodesulfurization unit are on schedule to restart on November 5.
