Twelve Chinese Coal-Fired Power Projects Receive Approval from NDRC in July

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Twelve coal-fired power projects received approval in July from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the top planner in China, the NDRC announced on its Web site on August 31:

• Datang Linfen Hexi Jilin Thermal Power Plant Renovation Project will build two 300-megawatt (MW) combined heat and power (CHP) units, together with flue gas desulfuration and denitration devices, in the Raodu district of Linfen City, Shanxi province, by replacing two existing 135-MW units in the plant.


• Hohhot Fengtai Thermal Power Plant Expansion Project will build another 350-MW CHP supercritical unit in Youyouban Town, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia.


• Wuhanhot Thermal Power Plant New Construction Project will build two 300-MW air-cooled CHP units in Yonglian Town, Wulanhot City, Inner Mongolia, by dismantling three existing 12-MW small units at the plant.


• Dengkou Industry Park Thermal Power Plant New Construction Project will build two 300-MW CHP units in Bayangaole Town, Dengkou County, Inner Mongolia.


• Guodian Yanji Thermal Power Plant Renovation Project will build two 200-MW CHP units in Xiaoying Town, Yanji City, by replacing 160 MW of small, inefficient units in Jilin province.


• Dalian Ganjingzi Thermal Power Plant New Construction Project will build two 300-MW CHP units in Gezhenbao Town, Ganjingzi district of Dalian City, in Liaoning province.


• Zheneng Binhai Thermal Power Plant New Construction Project will build two 300-MW CHP units in Binhai Industry Park, Shaoxing County, Zhejiang province.


• Shijiazhuang West Suburban Thermal Power Plant Renovation Project will build two 300-MW CHP units in Luquan City by replacing 271.5 MW of small, inefficient units in Hebei province.



• Datang Heshan Power Plant Expansion Project will build another 600-MW supercritical, coal-fired unit in Heshan, Laibin City, by replacing 385 MW of small, inefficient units in Guangxi province.


• Guixi Power Plant Expansion Project will build another 600-MW supercritical, coal-fired unit in Guixi City by replacing 385 MW of small, inefficient units in Jiangxi province.


• Jinggangshan Power Plant Phase II Expansion Project will build another 600-MW ultra-supercritical, coal-fired unit together with flue gas desulfuration and denitration devices in Hedong Town, Ji'an City, in Jiangxi province.


• Huadian Liu'an Power Plant Expansion Project will build another 600-MW ultra-supercritical, coal-fired unit together with flue gas desulfuration and denitration devices in Chengnan Town, Liu'an City, in Anhui province.
