Two Hydrogen Hubs in Australia's NSW Get $64 Million in Grant Funding

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Through the New South Wales (NSW) Hydrogen Strategy, US$64 million was awarded to fund two hydrogen hub initiatives to support the development of the green hydrogen industry across the state. After a technical and strategic assessment, the NSW government granted funding to BOC Limited's (New South Wales) Illawarra Hydrogen Technology Hub and Hiringa Sundown Project Co. Pty Ltd.'s Good Earth Green Hydrogen and Ammonia (GEGHA) project.

Illawarra Hydrogen Technology Hub involves installing a 10-megawatt (MW) electrolyser powered by grid-based renewable energy to be used to help drive decarbonization in the transport and industrial sectors.

In Moree, the Good Earth Green Hydrogen and Ammonia (GEGHA) project includes the 27-MW Wathagar Solar Farm to be constructed in three 9-MW phases, and green hydrogen and green ammonia facilities.
