Volkswagen Argentina Wants to Restart Operations this Month, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Volkswagen Argentina has proposed to reopen its two automotive plants next week in Argentina. Under the proposal to Argentina's Minister of Productive Development, Volkswagen would reopen its gearbox factory in Cordoba and vehicle factory in Pacheco, Buenos Aires province. The idea is to start with the production of the MQ250 gearboxes, with almost everything designated for export, starting April 27, with roughly 40% of the plant's workforce. However, Volkswagen's new MQ281 gearbox project could be delayed. See map below.
