Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held White Mountain Biodiesel LLC (North Haverhill, New Hampshire) says the company's new biodiesel plant in North Haverhill will begin producing biodiesel by June 1, 2010. The company was established in 2008, and plant construction began early in 2009. The facility went into start-up mode and product testing in mid-April 2010.

The White Mountain Biodiesel plant has the capacity to produce up to 3 million to 5 million gallons of B100, and various special blends, annually. The plant will utilize restaurant waste grease (yellow grease) as a feedstock. Glycerol will be a by-product. The facility also will manufacture specialty-related products from biodiesel-like diesel-engine fuel additives and lubricating oil. White Mountain Biodiesel developed its own proprietary technology, and the plant was built by employees.

The facility is in the small town of North Haverhill, New Hampshire, in Grafton County on Business Park Road, approximately 45 miles southeast of Montpelier, Vermont.
