YTL Cement Berhad, the cement-manufacturing arm of YTL Corporation, has purchased LafargeHolcim's Malaysian unit Lafarge Malaysia Berhad and all its assets in Malaysia.

YTL Cement paid $400 million to acquire 76% of Lafarge Malaysia, including three cement plants and two grinding facilities. LafargeHolcim is currently divesting from Southeast Asia, and expects to finish selling off its business interest there within five years.
