LNG
Bulgarian, Greek Companies Create Task Force to Build LNG Terminal - Bulgaria's state energy holding company BEH has joined forces with Greek company Gastrade to establish a task force to build an offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility in northern Greece. The project is expected to cost about $413 million and be operational by the end of 2018.
PRODUCTION
Iran to Auction Oil Field Rights in June - A government official says that Iran will invite international companies to bid for the development of oil fields in the country beginning around June 21.
Deepwater Industry Standardization, Collaboration Could Cut Costs but Likely Won't Happen - Splitting the bill, reusing materials and buying pre-made rather than custom are great ways to save money. These simple strategies are the rationale behind portions of the Deepwater Offshore Industry's push for standardization. However, industry-wide standardization of equipment, one of the larger cost savers, is unlikely as the level of disclosure required is anathema to operators and their engineers.
PIPELINES
NGL Energy Partners Expects Colorado-to-Oklahoma Crude Pipeline to Start Deliveries in November - NGL Energy Partners LLC (NYSE:NGL) (Tulsa, Oklahoma) will start seeing the benefits of its share of the Saddlehorn-Grand Mesa crude oil pipeline project by November, according to company officials.
Saudi Aramco to Boost Capacity of Main Pipeline - Saudi Arabia's state-run oil company Saudi Aramco says that it will boost the capacity of its main cross-country pipeline, the East-West Pipeline, from 5 million barrels per day (BBL/d) to 7 million BBL/d by late 2018.
