Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Combustion turbines 1 and 2 at Zhejiang Datang International Jiangshan Gas-fired Thermal Power Company Limited's (Jiangshan, Zhejiang) 230-megawatt (MW) gas-fired cogeneration project passed the "72+24 hour" full-load continuous trial operation. Both were handed over for commercial operation on May 15, 2013. The project has been put into full operation, according to an announcement from Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Company (ZTPC) (Hangzhou, Zhejiang), the construction contractor and a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) (Beijing), on May 17.
As reported, construction of the project kicked off in January 2012. The project created the fastest construction speed for a 6F-class combustion turbine in China, as well as for the commissioning of similar units in China. It took only 24 days for ZTPC to complete major commissioning milestones, from pipeline flushing, first startup, and first grid connection, to the completion of the full-load trial operation.
The Datang Jiangshan Gas-fired Cogeneration Project, which occupies an area of 6.86 hectares in Jiangshan City of eastern China's Zhejiang province, is the second 6Fa-class, gas-fired power plant in China, just following the gas-fired power plant in Karamay, Xinjiang. The project, invested by Datang International Power Generation Company Limited (SHA:601991) (Beijing), is furnished with two sets of S106FA-type, gas-fired, combined-cycle units manufactured by Harbin Electric Company Limited (1133.HK) (Harbin, Heilongjiang), the listed flagship of Harbin Electric Corporation (Harbin, Heilongjiang), with technology imported from GE Energy. As a member in GE's F-class gas turbine family, the output of a 6Fa gas turbine is about 77 MW at the efficiency of 35.5%, and its output and efficiency can reach about 118 MW and 55% via combined-cycle.
