Guth Lighting has been a leading provider of commercial and industrial lighting systems for the most 'Demanding Lighting Conditions' for over 100 years. Guth Lighting's newest technology can reduce the number of light fixtures required for most industrial and commercial applications by 30% to 50%. This savings can be accomplished while also maintaining the same light level and in some cases exceeding it.

New metal halide ballast, lamp and fixture technology is available with 320, 350 and 400-watt fixtures providing continuous dimming to 50% while consuming up to 60% less power, ultimately reducing operating and ownership costs. The ballast's electronic micro-processor optimizes lamp performance, provides dimming, end of life lamp protection and silent operation. The ballast is universal 320, 350 and 400 watt, cold starts at -20°F and operates at 208, 240 and 277 volts.

In most retrofit applications new fixtures are provided with 10 foot cords and use exiting outlets. Spacing would typically go from 20'x20' to 25'x25'. If re-spacing is not practical wattage can be reduced to 320. In addition the fixtures can be equipped with integral occupancy sensors that automatically lower power levels 50% when work stations or warehouse aisles are unoccupied. This can reduce power another 20%.

For example, in a retrofit 316 new units would replace 500 existing fixtures. The load would go from 230 to 136 KW without dimming. Savings would be $30,000 to $50,000 per year. In a one for one retrofit using a 320 watt lamp the load would become 175KW. Depending on energy rates and the maintenance cost of existing fixtures paybacks range from one to four years. In addition these fixtures are eligible for all existing utility rebates.
