Open Season Underway for Texas Express Pipeline Expansion - Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE:EPD), Midcoast Operating L.P. (a subsidiary of Enbridge Incorporated (NYSE:ENB)), Western Gas Partners L.P. (NYSE:WES) and DCP Midstream L.P. (NYSE:DCP) on Thursday announced a binding open season for additional capacity on the Texas Express Pipeline, which transports mixed natural gas liquids (NGL) from Skellytown, Texas, in Carson County to the NGL fractionation and storage complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Pennsylvania Allows Mariner East 1 Pipeline Restart - The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) said on Thursday that all five commissioners voted to allow Energy Transfer Partners L.P. (NYSE:ETP) to restart its Sunoco Mariner East 1 natural gas liquids pipeline. The PUC suspended operations on Mariner East on March 7 after sinkholes were discovered near the project. (Reuters)
Letter: Keystone XL Work to Begin in Montana in Fall - TransCanada Corporation (NYSE:TRP) plans to start preliminary work on its Keystone XL pipeline project in Montana in the fall of 2018 ahead of full construction in 2019, according to a letter from the U.S. State Department to Native American tribes. NRG Boosts Net Income - Electric utility NRG Energy (NYSE:NRG) reported first-quarter 2018 net income $279 million, compared with a net loss of $163 million in first-quarter 2017. (Business Wire)
Murphy Oil Provides First-Quarter Results - Murphy Oil Corporation (NYSE:MUR) reported first-quarter 2018 net income of $168.3 million, compared with $58.5 million a year earlier. (Business Wire)

New York Grid Operator Expects Power Demand to Decline Through 2028 - New York's power grid operator on Thursday forecast that demand for power from the system will decline over the next decade due to efficiency programs and as more homes and businesses generate their own electricity on site. The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), the grid operator, projected power demand would decline at a rate of 0.14% per year through 2028. (Reuters)
