POWER
Entergy Raises Profit Forecast for Coming Years on Growing Power Demand - Entergy Corporation (New Orleans, Louisiana) raised its profit forecast for the later part of the decade and boosted its plan to spend on infrastructure, as rising electricity demand from artificial intelligence (AI)-driven data centers and electrification trends reshape the U.S. power landscape. The utility raised its adjusted profit forecast for 2027 to a range of $4.70 to $5.00 per share from $4.65 to $4.95 per share previously. For 2028, it expects profit between $5.20 and $5.50 per share from its prior forecast of $5.10 to $5.40 per share. Entergy also increased its four-year capital expenditure plan to $40 billion, from $37 billion previously, to cater to anticipated demand from AI data centers and to harden its energy infrastructure against hurricanes and other extreme weather. The company's investments include adding 3 gigawatts (GW) of solar, 1.4 GW of battery storage and 8 GW of natural gas-fired power plants. (Reuters)

Mexico's June Crude Oil Exports Lowest in Decades - Mexican state company Pemex (Mexico City) exported 39% less crude oil year-over-year in June, reaching the lowest level in decades, official data showed, as processing at local refineries and fuel production increased significantly. Pemex exported 458,103 barrels per day (BBL/d) in June, compared to 753,539 BBL/d in the same month a year earlier, company data updated on Monday showed. This was the lowest level since records started in 1990. (Reuters)
