Feasibility Study Report of Huadian Xiaochaohu No. 1 Windfarm Phase II Passed Examination in Xinjiang

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The examination meeting for the feasibility study report of Huadian Xiaochaohu No. 1 Windfarm Phase II 49.5 Megawatts (MW) Project was held under the organization of the Hydropower and Water Resources Planning & Design General Institute (Beijing, China) at Urumchi, the capital city of Northwest China’s Xinjian Autonomous Region on August 21, 2007. Experts and representatives from the Development and Reform Commission of Xinjian Autonomous Region, China Huadian Corporation (Beijing, China), Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, the Economic and Trade Commission, the State Land Resources Department, the Environmental Protection Administration, the Meteorological Administration of Xinjian Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Electric Power Company, Xinjiang Electric Power Design Institute, and the government and related departments of Turpan City attended the meeting.

During the examination meeting, the expert panel paid a visit to the site, heard the introduction of the Feasibility Study Report of Huadian Xiaochaohu No. 1 Windfarm Phase I 49.5MW Project presented by Northwest China Electric Power Design Institute (NCEPDI) (Xi’an, China), and discussed and reviewed the report thoroughly in special teams. The expert panel finally reached the conclusion that the feasibility study report prepared by NCEPDI was satisfactory with the design depth and content requirements at this stage in principle.

Xiaochaohu Windfarm is located at the north of Tuokexun County downtown in Turpan, Xinjiang region, with a total planned installed capacity of 200 MW, divided into No. 1 and No. 2 windfarms. The installed capacity of Xiaochaohu No. 1 Windfarm Phase I Project is 49.5 MW, which is currently under construction. This project is Xiaochaohu No. 1 Windfarm Phase II, which is 49.5 MW as well. The site is open and flat with convenient access and rich wind resources, and the conditions are very good for development.
