The architectural firm of Heitman Architects Incorporated (Itasca, Illinois) has been selected as the project's designer and the company is currently seeking a general contractor for the $8 million project.
Flavors of North America hopes to break ground at the new site in Geneva, a western suburb of Chicago near Kautz and Averill roads, in the spring of 2003. The company plans to relocate existing equipment and systems to the new location as well as install new processing and packaging equipment to increase capacity. A target completion date is scheduled for April of 2004.
Founded in 1987, Flavors of North America creates and manufactures a full line of quality flavors for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical industries. In addition to the corporate headquarters and plant in Illinois, the company also has a manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario Canada.
