Freeport LNG Seeks Approval to Restart One Unit - Freeport LNG (Houston, Texas) asked U.S. regulators for approval to add natural gas to one of the three idled units at its liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant in Texas, a milestone in efforts to restore production after a seven-month outage. U.S. Demand for Crude Oil, Petroleum Products Rises in November - Demand for U.S. crude oil and petroleum products rose 178,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) in November to 20.59 million BBL/d, the highest since August, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Tuesday in its Petroleum Supply Monthly report. Demand for finished motor gasoline, rose 21,000 BBL/d to 8.85 million BBL/d in November, also its highest since November, the EIA said. (Reuters)

Imperial Oil Boosts Quarterly Income -- Imperial Oil Limited (TSX:IMO) (Calgary, Alberta) reported fourth-quarter net income of C$1.7 billion (US$1.26 billion), up from C$813 million (US$611.22 million) a year earlier. Imperial said its upstream production for the fourth quarter averaged 441,000 barrels of oil-equvalent per day (boepd), down from 445,000 boepd in the same quarter a year earlier. (Reuters)
