Future Revamp at Polish Nafty Jedlicze Refinery

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--PKN ORLEN Group's (LI:0FMN) 28,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Nafty Jedlicze refinery, which is in Jedlicze, Poland, will be performing a revamp on the Vacuum Unit.

The revamp will entail mainly changing the internal parts of the distillation column of the 16,000-BBL/d Vacumm unit. The purpose of this work is to improve the unit's performance.

The refinery's personnel are performing the site study, and afterward the preliminary engineering will be done. The Vacuum Distillation Project Completion is scheduled for June 2013.

Separately, an annual turnaround is programmed to begin at the end of June. The last shutdown occurred in September 2009; part of the job during the downtime was performing inspection and cleaning all units. This year-run shutdown is necessary since there are units like the Used Oils Hydrofinishing Unit that process used oil and requires regular cleaning routine.
