Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--On October 10, 2013, China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) (Bejing) announced that Heilongjiang No.1 Thermal Power Construction Corporation (HTPC1) (Harbin, Heilongjiang), the project contractor and a subsidiary of CEEC, completed the steam turbine box-up for Unit 2 of Guodian Harbin Pingnan Thermal Power Plant's 700-megawatt (MW) cogeneration project on September 30.
As the civil works and erection contractor for Unit 2, HTPC1 has attached great importance to ensure a box-up of the steam turbine. Prior to the box-up, through cooperation with the project owner, supervisor, and equipment manufacturers, the work procedures and instructions for the box-up were well-prepared and strictly implemented.
The Guodian Harbin Pingnan Thermal Power Plant is located at the southeast corner of Pingfang District of Harbin City, in northeast China's Heilongjiang province. Invested by Guodian Northeast Electric Power Company Limited (Changchun, Jilin), a regional subsidiary of China Guodian Corporation (Beijing), the power plant has a total planned capacity of 1,400 MW, to be built in two phases. Two 350-MW, coal-fired cogeneration units and flue gas desulfurization and denitration devices are included in Phase I. The major turbines, generators and boilers equipment for the project are supplied by Harbin Electric Corporation (Harbin, Heilongjiang).
Phase I of the project received approval from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in March 2010. Construction of the project kicked off on February 11, 2011, and the erection of the generator stator for Unit 2 was completed in December 2012.
According to the schedule, both units of the project will be fully operational by the end of 2013.
