HollyFrontier Corporation initiated restart procedures today, October 30, for the 40,000-BBL/d Crude unit located on the east side of its 125,000-BBL/d Tulsa, Oklahoma Refining Complex after being shut down on October 28.

HollyFrontier Corporation initiated restart procedures today, October 30, for the 40,000-BBL/d crude unit located on the east side of its 125,000-BBL/d Tulsa, Oklahoma, refining complex after it was shut down on October 28.

CITGO Petroleum Corporation restarted the 38,000-BBL/d hydrocracker on October 29 at its 420,000-BBL/d Westlake (Lake Charles), Louisiana, refinery after completing planned maintenance that began on September 16.

Valero Refining Company continues with plans for a 40-day turnaround, beginning January 30, 2020, for the 36,000-BBL/d Distillate Hydrocracker at its 144,000-BBL/d Benicia, California, refinery. The facility remains fully operational despite high winds and smoke associated with the California wildfires.

International
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has rescheduled a planned turnaround of its 417,000-BBL/d Ruwais Refinery 2 (West) in Abu Dhabi. The turnaround, previously scheduled for January 12, 2020, is now expected to begin on February 6 next year. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart RFCCU block by February 20 of the same year.

Petroleos de Venezuela SA remains unable to restore operations at its 295,000-BBL/d Cardon Venezuela refinery due to utility and mechanical issues. The 75,000-BBL/d Crude 18,000-BBL/d Naphtha HT 2, 8,000-BBL/d Isomerization, 51,000-BBL/d Reformer and 36,000-BBL/d Gasoil HT were forced offline on September 1. Operations, which were previously expected to be restored by the end of October, will not commence until mid-November.

Petronor SA plans to perform a minor maintenance turnaround at its 220,000-BBL/d Bilbao refinery in Spain. The 90,000-BBL/d Crude 2 and the 22,600-BBL/d G-4 (Kerosene/Diesel Hydrotreater) are scheduled to go down for planned work on November 2, while the Hydrogen 4 unit will be shut down on November 7. All units are expected to resume production on November 10. Remaining units will not be affected during this shutdown.
